about
me

I studied in France and England, graduating in business in 1995. In 1997, I made a professional move into cinema. In 1998, I directed my first short film in 16mm and worked as first AD on music videos and as technical assistant at Happy Fish Pictures in London.

In 2000, I moved to Galicia (Spain) in order to study a Master in Audiovisual Management and Production (MPXA) at the University of A Coruña. Subsequently working for production companies such as Continental and Formato. Together with producers Borja Pena and Xosé Zapata, I cofounded Guerrilla films and produced the documentary “Amando de Ossorio, el Ultimo Templario” (2000) as well as writing the original screenplay of “La Teoría del Espejo” (2003).

In 2001, I started working in Madrid for film producer Andrés Vicente Gómez as training activities’ coordinator within the frame of the EU MEDIA program. At the end of 2003, I was appointed Director of Activities at the Media Business School, which allowed me to work with relevant film players such as Paramount, Universal, Warner, Fox, Olswang or ZDF Arte, and implemented activities in more than 25 countries, including New Zealand and the UK.
In 2008, I moved to Brighton (UK) to pursue a Master in Digital Arts and worked on projects related to music and fashion. That same year, I created “Hugo RedRose”, my creative alter ego for social networks, generating new content based on postmodern audiovisual language.

In 2010, I returned to Spain in order to work on the development of film and television projects with two screenwriters under the Zaracatan label. In 2012, and until the end of 2015, I went back to the Media Business School, this time as a consultant for various training programs.

In 2013, I settled in Córdoba and founded, together with Irene Lázaro, Efímera. During these last years, I have carried out numerous audiovisual works, mainly corporate as well as artistic, but also theatre related while also developing new training projects, participating in various television projects for Saudi Arabia and implementing a TV pilot program with film producer Andrés Vicente Gómez.
